In the first quarter of 2021, Latin America saw significant activity in the mobile gaming sector, particularly within the puzzle/riddle game category. Data collected by Sensor Tower provides an overview of the performance of the top five games in this genre.

Starting with DOP 2: Delete One Part, the game experienced a remarkable number of downloads, starting the quarter with over 1.5M and ending with around 719K, showing a declining trend. Weekly active users peaked at over 2.5M in the first weeks of January, eventually stabilizing at slightly above 2M towards the end of March. Revenue for the game began to be recorded in mid-January, growing to a modest 335K in mid-February before tapering off to 200K by the end of March.

Lion Studios' Girl Genius! had a strong start post-release, with downloads soaring to nearly 1.9M in the second week of February and then gradually decreasing to 500K by the end of the quarter. Active users followed a similar pattern, with a peak of over 2.1M in mid-February before a slight drop-off to around 1.5M. Revenue figures were not significant until the beginning of March, when they reached a high of 322K and then slightly decreased to 215K.

Brain Test: Tricky Puzzles by UNICO STUDIO maintained steady revenue throughout the quarter, hovering around the 500K to 850K range. Downloads for the title showed a gradual decline from 435K at the start of the period to 206K by mid-March, before a slight increase to 205K. The game's active users saw a decrease from over 2.1M to approximately 1.6M by the quarter's end.

SUPERSONIC STUDIOS LTD's Emoji Puzzle! also experienced a decline in both downloads and active users. From starting the quarter with around 494K downloads and 1.4M active users, the game ended with 227K downloads and about 918K active users. Revenue saw fluctuations but generally remained below 100K throughout the quarter.

Lastly, Clue Hunter, another title from Lion Studios, showed a consistent decrease in downloads, starting at 592K and ending the quarter with around 150K. Active users followed a downward trajectory from over 1.4M to just above 656K. Revenue for Clue Hunter stayed below 35K for the entire quarter.
